Churchteams will first try to establish a match based on member ID. If a match is found then it will overlay information name/address/contact information, if present in the new file, over the churchteams data. If a phone number, for example, is blank on the new data but populated on churchteams it will be left in place, but if the new data has a phone number then it will overlay the churchteams data.
If there are no member IDs stored in the Churchteams database, it still does a pretty tight match on name/partial address and home phone to find an existing record and then will update as described above or create a new record if no match is found. If you are concerned about losing data in Churchteams by importing new data, we recommend doing an export of your churchteams data (report and communication, then member reports, then export to csv) just so you have a copy prior to doing an update with the new data. That way you can do another overlay from the churchteams export to put it back ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
