They are fully trained ATC's . They go through the same training someone with an Air Traffic Control MOS/job would go through. They just go through MONTHS AND MONTHS of extreme physical and mental training.
So yeah, they can get a job as a controller at a major airport if they wanted. But keep in mind, just because its the Air Force, these guys are tough. Their training is around two years long, and has an attrition rate similar to that of Special Forces, or SEALs.
Absolutely. They are almost gauranteed a six figure job in air traffic control when they come home. Think about it: Air traffic controllers have recently been having issues staying awake from stress and long hours.
So when a combat controller, who has gone days without sleep under heavy enemy fire while doing his job, comes along looking for employment, they'd get the job in a heartbeat.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
