How effective is a business card in promoting business?

A business card is quite possibly the single most important piece of information you will ever give your client. The reason for this is people buy from people and its likely the only company information that has your name on it. The potential customer in 24 hours time will barely remember what you said or did but your name can be in the forefront of their mind if you left them a business card Business cards can be very effective if it portrays you well i.e.

Its professional easy to read and of high quality. It is worth paying a little bit extra for your cards over and above any other marketing material that you have as they are the first impression that you prospect will have of you First impressions count...you may be wearing the most amazing suit or your favourite tie but you hand someone a dog eared cheap card perhaps from one of the sites on the internet that offer free cards or £5.00 for 250 and you will lose business! A good business card on the other hand will keep selling for you long after the client has forgotten what you look like!

Same things to consider: Make sure the contact information is correct Have the card printed on good, not flimsy, card stock Get some professional help in designing the card Make it stand out - its doesn't have to be a rectangular shape Use a font size that is legible to the reader not microtype Avoid Comic Sans Serif font Avoig garish colours and tons of text Although litho printed is preferable Laser is now perfectly acceptable with full colour short runs Don't by sheets of tear apart cards (the edges are cheap looking) Avoid cute drawings and mottos.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
