Culinary school can last from two year to four years excluding the apprenticeship after graduation. This will depend on what your end goal is. If you like a diverse background with regular education courses to help you prepare for graduation, you have an option to take a four-year program.
However, if you want the basics like sanitation, knife skills and rudimentary cooking, you can choose for shorter certificate programs. You will be surprised to know that culinary college teach more than kitchen skills like knife handling. Cooking classes will also teach students how to deal with people, handle finances and manage inventory.

Most beauty schools require you to complete a certain amount of hours. This include a certain amount of hours on the floor and a certain amount of hours behind the desk, learning. I attended Arlington Beauty Academy and it took me about 3 years to complete.
I was attending school more on a part time basis. You can choose to attend full time or part time. Where I graduated beauty school you could stay later any day you chose and you could even go in on Saturday's.
We all graduated at different times. They were very flexible and again, graduation was based on just completing hours. This does not mean that every beauty school is the same.
Locate the beauty school that you are interested in and give them a call. I am almost certain all schools will atleast offer part time and full time options. I am sure they will be happy to answer all of your questions.
Good luck!
