How long does it take to train for a 20k, 10k or 5k run?

Training is a very individual based thing. I know many people that can go from completely out of running shape to in running shape in under 2 months. Unfortunately, most people aren't as lucky.

If you would want to train and be respectable and place well in the field, it will probably take you 3-6 months. "Good" is a relative term. For instance, take the 5k.

In a given road race, the top women will usually run under 20 minutes. A good competative female runner will run under 19 minutes. Very competative females, under 18.

And national level women will run in the 16's and under. The best way to start and continue training is to invest time in the sport. Obvliously you'd like to train a lot, but many first time runners lose encouragement.

They start running only to give it up a few weeks later. Invest time by reading a blog or a book. A good introductory book is "My Life on the Run" by Bart Yasso.

The more time you invest around it, the more you will keep motivated to keep your ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
