I'm guessing that temporary is forever... I think they realized after last year's experience that it's not an easy thing to give away/sell many, many things to people from all over the world...I'm sure it was a HUGE hassle....I would assume that they exhausted their supplies from last year...and eliminated the store. For good. We all know it takes them awhile to announce the truth to us, so eventually I assume that they will make an official announcement.

Or, maybe they will just pretend it was never there....and nothing will be said. It would be nice if they were able to work something out to have a permanent store. But after seeing how long it took them to get the products that the were going to sell, I think there might have been problems from the start of the venture.

They did great, getting design ideas from users and then surprising us with the offers...then it went downhill when it came to the actual distribution. You had to buy something, and then wait and wait for an email from the mayor to give your mailing address to them. And some people never got their items, or they arrived broken...it wasn't a huge success.

But I love my Amazon gift cards! They were definitely a nice gift for playing! The whole intention of the gift cards and other items last year was to make up for not opening Questville as promised.

Obviously they feel no need to apologize in the same way this year, or we would have heard by now. So, my guess is that it's just not going to happen this year, and maybe not next. They seem to be terribly busy with little upgrades to the site.

Not being a programmer, I really have no idea how long stuff like that takes. But I'm guess they are devoting their time to the site and not to other extras now. Perhaps when they get the site just as they want it, they will be able to some fun stuff for us like re-open the store.

Please just do not hold your breath..:@) I joined the community November 2007 and the store was empty then, now at the end of 2008 and will most likely be empty at the end of 2009! Well let's take a look at temporary. It started in 2008..:@) They Amazon are moving on this problem..:@) OOPs they got side tracked..:@) Well another season has passed..:@) The last year has seen profits fall off, once again the store stays empty..:@) TEEHEE..:@) Your a little blue, Were you holding your breath?...@) Yep she sure was..:@) You have heard of these two, now you know another, AMAZON..:@) I venture to say the New Year will probably be a temporary condition also!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
