Less than an hour, depending on traffic. It is only 35 miles, but can be as short as 50 minutes, or as long as two hours, if you are doing it at rush hour. Traffic in Phillie is horrible!
Does doing Park and Ride to Exton then taking Thorndale/Paoli Regional Rail Line cut time to a manageable time (i.e. Solid hour) during rush hours? DeCe 2 months ago .
This is NOT an easy commute. Google maps will tell you 45 minutes, but during rush hour, my experience is that it is often much, much longer. At the peak of rush hour, or if anything goes wrong, it can be almost two hours.
If you are able to time your commute to avoid rush hour, it will be shorter, but the only time you'll get that 45 minute figure is during times when all the roads are very clear, like the middle of the night, or early on a weekend morning. Commuting by train is a much more viable option. Drive and park near the main line.
The train takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Keep in mind, traffic is bad around the train stations, in West Chester, and along the whole stretch of the main line, during rush hour, so getting to and from the station might take longer than you think, depending on where you live. It might be as long as 30 minutes!
You can save time (at the cost of more $$$) by taking a slightly-faster Amtrak train that makes fewer stops. One little-known option is to take a bus, Route 104, to the 69th street terminal and then take the el / subway in. This route takes a little under an hour and a half, and is extremely cheap.
Depending on where you live, this might even be the fastest option. My recommendation? Don't make this commute unless you absolutely have to.
If you're considering living in West Chester and working in Philly, I'd recommend against it if you have any choice in the matter.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
