How low will the Right Wing go to stop the health Care Reform Bill?

You are totally missing what is going on. Democrats are force feeding their agenda on the people with ZERO support from the Republicans. Democrats are using party politics to try to pass a bill that is now over 2,000 pages and full of special pork projects to specific legislators home states.

They are currently trying to buy out the Nebraska Senator with special back door deals.

This bill needs to be stopped ... not because of Republicans desire to play party politics, but because it is simply terrible legislation that caters to special interests.

The Democrats may be well intended, but their execution is terrible. The Republicans are offing absolutely nothing but criticism.

What needs to happen is both sides need to create smaller bills that actually address the real issues, sans pork projects.

American is not one party, and Health Care is not a Party issue. The people are getting screwed by both sides.

People want a quality health care system, and this current bill will do nothing to move towards this goal.

The Right Wing will pull out all the Stops. Almost a Civil War. Christmas will not be merry.

The vote to debate the bill was approved 60-39 ,as expected. The three senators who were in question as to a yes vote caved in under the leadership.

The opposition party (republicans ) were elected by the people to go to washington and represent them. The sad part is that the super majority ( democrats ) has denied them any participation in drafting this bill. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

The republicans ideas to fix ( not tear apart ) healthcare is to have tort reform, allow citizens to purchase insurance across state lines, special funds for existing conditions, private medical saving healthcare accounts, and other related proposals.

Tthe american people aren't beiing given all the facts.

I am suggesting that all those liberals out in the heartland, wake up and look for the truth before it is too late.

Oh, they'll just keep acting like sore losers and drag this whole reconciliation out for another couple years.

Suddenly, now, they have decided that they want to be included in the formation of the bill... now that it's already a law. So they are going to keep playing "ping pong" with the fix-it bill, sending it back and forth between the House and Senate. We're going to be in for a bumpy ride, folks.

No, they were not interested in participating before. They were not denied the ability to participate by the Democrats, as there are several Republican suggestions within the bill (now law). It appears that the Republicans are being big, whiney crybabies just because everything didn't go their way.

Perhaps they had gotten used to winning everything during the Bush administration. Or maybe, just maybe, their idea of being included in the formation of the bill, is having everyone else's ideas excluded.

They will go as low as they can go so low that they will soon be crawling on their bellies like the snakes that they are.

Would they lie through their teeth to the American people again and again and again. Would they vote on a bill that is opposed by the people by an 18% margin? hubpages.com/hub/Public-Overwhelmingly-Reje.

Okay, the health care bill has been passed. But why would the republicans have to go "low" when all the polls show that the American people don't want it. The majority of the people have said they don't want the bill.

Last time I checked, these guys are supposed to be our representatives. 52%+ of the American people, according to all polls, have spoken, and the only one's who heard them were the republicans apparently.

Talk about a question with a premise. I'd say the results of the last election pretty much speak for themselves. The virtrol directed at the conservatives is almost funny, based on the last election in which Americans elected conservatives in states like Massachusetts that virtually never elect conservatives.

I hope they repeal it, personally.

They'll go pretty low as they have in the past in opposing nearly every progressive piece of legislation from Social Security to civil rights, to voter's rights, etc. Several GOP leaders have stated that their intent is to "break Obama," even if it means voting against the interests of the people they represent. They're getting a lot of help from the insurance and pharmaceutical industries who've hired the same unscrupulous lobbyists that worked for the tobacco industry trying to prove that cigarettes didn't cause lung cancer In the end the GOP may hurt itself more than it does Obama. The party lacks responsible leadership and is shooting itself in the foot on a variety of issues.

While I completely agree that the right wing uses ridiculous tactics to scare the American people, in this case it appears they have been largely successful because the polls do not reflect favorably on this legislation. However, I have my own theory about the majority in this country and I have a hub about that very idea.

They'll use statements that are easy to repeat and continue to tell us that ALL of America is against this law, when you and I both know that's not true. That's why every single interview on the news with people who are against the reform is exactly the same. They simply repeat what the politicians have said, "America doesn't want this government take-over because it's unconstitutional.

" Just ask all those interviewees if they can elaborate on what they just said. Nine out of ten will not be able to survive 30 seconds of debate because they actually are just scared of change and don't understand what this law is actually trying to accomplish.

Not to say that everyone who is against the law falls into that group, but the whole idea of sticking your head in the sand on the issues and not thinking for yourself is prevalent in this country and it is certainly fueling the polls. The bottom line there is it makes the legislation appear to be much more unpopular than it would be if a few more people made an effort to educate themselves about it. I propose that poll participants be required to answer 20 questions about their knowledge on a topic before they actually offer their opinion.

Not as low as the Dems did to pass it. Make up new unconstitutional rules to pass. Plus, I want to see how this hold up in the courts.

Also, Idaho already has a law that the federal government cannot force one to buy insurance. Other states may follow. This is going to make lawyers rich.

And we pay for the lawyers on both side of the arguement.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
