How many miles can you expect from a cadillac deville in good condition?

It's perfectly reasonable to expect 200K or more from any U.S. Built vehicle provided that it is maintained properly.

Here's the thing... sometimes the question is a bit ambiguous, and you have to consider that other people come at them from their point of view while you're coming at it from yours. It's possible they answer based on what they perceive someone means instead of what you meant. Now, that said, I have seen some really great, long, thought out and researched answers that didn't even remotely answer the question asked!

I mean, it's great to put that much time and research into something, but it would have really helped if had answered the question posed! So how do I pick best answer? I pick the question that provided me the most useful information based on what I wanted to know.

When I select best answer, I explain why I picked it. For example, I picked a 'best answer' over on Conundrum for one about a friend who was in love with his brother's wife. When I picked best answer, I told the answerer that it was because of one thing she said and also the way she said it too.

When giving detailed information as to why you picked best answer for your question you asked, you not only thank the answerer who picked best answer, but you are also subtly telling the other answerers why they weren't the best answer for that particular question. Another thing you can do is respond or reply to each of the people who do answer you with the reasons why you either liked or disliked the answer, or why it did or did not answer your exact question. I saw @jeffhoard do this on a question that I really liked how he handled it.

I can't remember which one it was now, but he thanked the person for the answer, but politely said it didn't exactly answer his question and why. This gives the answerer more clarity about the question, and who knows, they might come back and give more information too. In the end, YOU as the question asker are the only person who can know which answer best answered your question and gave you the information that you needed, so only you has a right to determine what the best answer for you is.

Even if someone gave a great answer that someone else thought was worthy of nomination for Answer of the Day, it is likely due to the length, quality and/or research of their answer, and that might be a really good answer, but it also just might not answer your question best. To my mind, 'best answer' and 'answer of the day' nominations don't go hand in hand. A good answer that gets nominated can be a good answer but still not be 'the best answer' for the particular question posed.

Majority doesn't rule for me. I often vote differently than others and have frequently selected 'no best answer' on questions others have picked a best answer for. ONLY you can decide what 'best answers' your question.

You do not have to pick an answer just because it was voted for answer of the day. It is up to you to decide which answer you like the most. People will not be rude if you pick another answer.

You are the asker, so you get to decide, not other people. If people are rude, just tell the Staff about it like @jeffhoard. If there are no best answers, pick the option of No Best Answer.

Sometimes it is best to do this, if no one answered you question right. Or sometimes people will not really answer the question but go off about something else. DON'T let the Majority rule.It is all your opinion.

I know I have picked a person who no one gave a helpful answer to, and someone else had a lot. Just go with your gut! Now here is how I usually pick the best answer.

BUT NOT ALWAYS. Sometimes people have great answers but it does not follow all of this, what I kind of call guide lines. Well in my opinion a best answer should include *Easy to understand * Explains all parts of the question asked.

* (Possible but does not have to be) Spaced, it usually makes it easier to read * Add sources of where they got their facts from * (Possible but does not have to be) A picture or video added *(Only for some questions) If they add personal experiences this could be a nice touch to get a best-answer. Basically if it follows there guidelines found in this Mahalo page mahalo.com/how-to-get-a-best-answer-on-m... How To Get A Best Answer On Mahalo That is a great way to learn how to get the best answer, also to help you decide who deserves the best answer. Also it had to do with personal opinion.

Does the answer, answer the question, and make since to you. It is all up to you. Or you can let it go to Voting, but I hope you do not do that because Voting sometimes gets over crowded.

The asker has four days from the time the question is asked to select a best answer. If the asker does not select a best answer within 4 days, the best answer will then be chosen by votes from other users. ----quote--- information taken from mahalo.com/answers/help I think choosing the best answer should be entirely up to the person who post the answer and not always the answerer who have the most helpful answer votes.

A member might have the most helpful answer votes but that does not mean that his answer is correct and as you stated it might not be what you are looking for. If it is the correct answer to the question and have most helpful votes the person should get the tip. I think that is what all Mahalo members should abide by always.

If none of the answers are helpful the person who posted the question have the option of choosing NO BEST ANSWER this is located underneath where it states the amount of ANSWERS a member gets for asking a question. I think if a member answers a question and they do not know which one to choose then they should seek the assistance of a Mahalo staff member or Mahalo community manager to help choose the best answer. Common sense should always prevail if you ask a question the person with the best constructed answer and also the person who answer all of the questions asked should receive best answer ----quote---- If you choose no best answer within three days of when you asked the question, we will refund the tip in full, and note that you rescinded a tip on your profile.

The answerers will have the option to give you feedback. You should only select no best answer if you feel your question was not answered." ----quote.

I choose the answer of the person who answers every part of the question thoroughly enough to help people understand the answer without filling the answer with off topic bloat. I pay little attention to votes. The best answer can be buried at the bottom of the page and be falsely voted as unhelpful for all I care.

You have to take into account that good answers can be buried by dumb people who want their 1 point per vote and nothing else. As long as it touches on each part of the question and provides sources and or insight, I will choose that answer.

Sometimes suddenly it doesn't respond when I click the buttons to post comment, rate or select the best answer in superuser.com. This happens specially when my firefox has been running for a while with quite a few websites open. Similar thing happens to youtube.com, where video sometimes cannot be played allegedly because of not the latest adobe flash player or not enabling it, but these are not true in my case.

Types of planning types of planning Planning is the effort to infuse activity with conscious and consistent purpose. " (Burham may have said that, not sure).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
