How many of you do the Family thing on Christmas Eve and Christmas?

I am missing Christmas! I called mom and they were just going to open presents at her house with the whole family tree. I am home with my one son gone and one son in his room.

This is not the Christmas I am used to all my life...but I didn't feel like I could go to my mom's 3 1/2 hours away with all my food/vitamins/water...health etc...weather..many excuses. To me it is not really Christmas unless a person is with many people who love you and they celebrate.

My family will be getting together tomorrow.

We usually do a BIG family thing on Christmas Eve, but aren't this year. Just my daughter and her boyfriend and my husband are together at our house this year--which is fine with me! I don't really like the long drive to the relatives!

So we are doing it small this year, which is a nice change! .

We have dinner on Christmas Eve then on Christmas morning, we open presents and then have Christmas dinner.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
