How many of you who started exactly when the Askville site started?

I'm just curious if there are people in here who started exactly the date Askville was first launched. Asked by carlosdanilo 32 months ago Similar questions: started Askville site Amazon > Askville.

I am not one of them but I can show you a place to find those "old timers"! If you go to the front page and scroll down, right above the Askviller of the Day there is "See More>" option. Click on that and try to find the very last page.At the moment this last page can be accessed from the following link: askville.amazon.com/RequestsByFilter.do?... You can then see that the very first Askville question is the following and was posted on June 22, 2006.

askville.amazon.com/AnswerViewer.do?requ... If you just look at those questions you can find those "old timers". A few of them are as follows: orion_orange natalie michellee jennifer johnnybegood jackisback ChristianC AlexD diamondcollie If you go to their profiles you can see that almost all of them are from Seattle.(If they have their locations listed.) The ones with "orange" screen names are current Askville Team Members. They have this on their profiles: Askville Staff Member I am guessing the first people who started joining Askville were Amazon workers.

Since Amazon HQ is located in Seattle they are from there. Askville had been an invitation-only website. But on December 8th, 2006 it has become public.

Check out the Askville blog for that: http://askville.typepad.com/askville_blog/2006/12/welcome-to-askv.html Check out this page for Askville Team Members: http://askville.amazon.com/about_us.html Most of the "old timers" are not active any more. But there are some very active Askvillers who have been around more than 2 years.

What does it say about a Question and Answer site like Askville..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
