How many quarts of oil does a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu 3.1 Liter Engine take?

Answer 5 quarts of oil. Don't forget to change the oil filter too Answer I own a 98 Malibu with the same engine (3100 3.1L) and the owners manual says 4.5 quarts (4.5 qts. ) THAT IS CORRECT!
