How many semi-automatic rifles have you/will you get before another Assault Weapon Ban?

America has always been a bullying, puritanical, militaristic, fascist, belligerent, greedy, delusional, ignorant, narcissistic nation. And you can see America's knuckle-headed stupidity and right-wing fanaticism in every political issue of the day. America's fear of black people.

America's paranoia about Jews. America's pathological hatred of homosexuals. America's paternalistic ideas about women.

America's horror over atheism. America's contempt for every other culture in the world. So America's attitude toward guns is predictably just as idiotic.

The ludicrous image of the "Moses" actor and National Rifle Association chief Charlton Heston waving his rifle in the air and yelling that "They" will have to "pry my gun out of my cold, dead fingers" is a perfect representation of what All-American gun lunatics are all about. There is, of course, no logical reason to permit ordinary citizens to own semi-automatic weapons. A few days ago, when CNN asked gun owners to email their reasons for wanting to own assault weapons, the top comments they got, over and over again, were things like: "It's FUN." "I got used to shooting with assault weapons when I was in the military and I like the feeling." "It's thrilling." "Shooting an assault weapon is a GREAT way to blow off steam."

And "It makes me feel POWERFUL." That's the kind of pathological extremism that the minority of thoughtful and intelligent people in America are up against.

Because many of the older assault rifles are cross overs that are used for hunting. Assault rifles have not always been so specifically made as they are now. But to set a year as a cut off date creates the problem of then having those rifles more specifically made before that date, remaining legal.

Besides outlawing any kind of rifle is not going to remove them from the hands of anybody who really wants one. I have lived in the real world. And in that world, anything you want can be had.

Liberals like to ignore facts. It saved none on the night in question. If anything it merely reinforced the statement "When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns!

I believe all guns are banned in Paris! That's the problem! In America, the unalienable right to use firearms for self-defense or home defense is so important we made it the 2nd Amendment, right behind the First, the right of freedom of speech!( Notice there is NO mention of responsible speech) So, on college campuses in America, they are trying to kill free speech instead of exercising more free speech.

Especially, speech they don't like! They are also trying to ban guns they don't like! How long before they decide the Constitution is a racist document and try to destroy it?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
