How many times can a creditor show your account as "charged off" on your credit report?

I have a credit account that was originally charged off in January. However, every month the same creditor shows that it was charged off that month. Can they do this?

Credit report I got into major credit trouble about 7 years ago. I wanted to pay but was unable. All of the original debts have since fallen off my credit report.

Collection agency’s are now posting as new accounts. Some collection agency’s have even charged off, then opened the same account back up as a new account. It gets really confusing because I have the same debt posted over and over?

One lawyer has bought a debt and has charged about $3500 in fees! (the original account was charged off at $1300 in 2002) I have never had any contact with any of the collection agency’s but they have some how found any family member or friend I have ever had. One even contacted my father (who at that point I had not talked to in 2 years).

Is any of this legal? Can an agency charge off a debt then reopen another one as new? And show neq on both every month?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
