I get about 10 views a day with 34 hubs, so I obviously don't know what the heck I am doing. I too agree that your hubs are good, though.
And even javaoverride's example isn't necessarily good evidence. S 7 day traffic looked like it was around 30 views, so it may be he happened to get lucky with some link he posted elsewhere - perhaps redditt for instance. If it happens to catch on somewhere it can get a short-lived high volume viewership.
I've put some on redditt before and gotten a 100 or so views in a few hours but it usually seems like poor traffic (they don't stay long and don't click ads) and it doesn't lead to any long-term traffic.
That isn't meant to criticize javaoverride in any way, it just seems to me that you hear a lot of people saying they are successful, you almost never see someone explain exactly how they do it, and two people doing the exact same thing can have very different results. I am beginning to suspect that for most people this stuff is largely a mystery, even for the ones who are relatively successful.
Thanks guys, and sorry I meant to say 150 hubs! Duh! Lol just wondered why some people had about 20 hubs and had 1,000 visitors, thought they had a magic formula, thanks again.
Nell, I have wondered the same thing. The highest I have ever had was 300 visitors and that was a one-time occurrence! My normal is between 85 and about 150.
I have 58 hubs.
That's a great suggestion re: leaving a space, Suramya. I didn't know that. I have only 4 hubs, but I did use the title-tune to change one title.
I don't know if they do but your hubs are great. I love reading your hubs. I can only get to one or two a day and then you write more and I can't keep up and still write my own.
;) Lol! I know I don't get that many visitors a day. Of course I am writing for myself and not thinking of making any real money on my hubs.
The most I get a day is about 300 total with all 28 hubs.
Well, I have 27 hubs and since the subdomain switch I have seen an average of around 90 per 24 hour period-though this is including my own views to write comments etc. I've never had more than 100 views per 24 hours.. Before the switch it was quite low when I hadn't published a hub in the last two days. Is it possible that these people are the hubbers that have more than one account and they are talking about their combined views?
Oh and Dave, Nell Rose is talking about the number of hubs you have published. So, if you have written 150 hubs, how many views do you get.
Neil (your one of my referrals you know! ) anyway I have about 92 hubs and I tend to see 200-250 views a day. This is the average not the spikes.
During the year people search for different things at different times. Half of my hubs don't have a single view today. Some get 15+ everyday all year, and some get 45+ a day during the time of year it is.
Some of my best hubs I put hours of writing and positioning and photos in got less then 1k views for a whole year...one I whipped up in about 25 minutes gets about 250 a month. Go figure. You are writing hubs right and I bet you have plenty of backlinks.
Sometimes its the yearly trends, sometimes its the competition for keyword phrases. All I know that has helped me do better is to keep writing new things, make sure to seo the title tags etc and make backlinks.
I'm looking at less than 100 views per 30 days or so. The most views I've had is 179 on a hub I wrote two months ago. Guess I'm doing something really wrong or just not a good writer.
Your hubs are excellent Nell and I can't imagine why you aren't a top draw!
I think most of them are telling the truth.
But if you cant make it out the hub was published 06/26/11 and its overall pageviews is 3,211 thats currently my best hub but as I won a hub nugget this week I expect another hub (Google Vs Facebook) to take off like this.
I don't know why this one gets more pageviews over the others I havent done anything that I havent done with all my other hubs I think I just picked a topic that people liked.
Nell your hubs are not boring! Far from it actually.
I say they are either extremely lucky, seo geniuses, or they are flat out lying.
I'm really into my seo and keywords, I have 39 Hubs and I don't get near the 1000 mark. On a really good day I'd get about 350 views and today i'm at just under 200.
No - Google search engine doesn't truly even "like" our hubs until they are a lot older. So the folks who have been here two years or more are just going get more traffic.
Also, after so much time has passed those older hubs have LOTS of naturally occurring backlinks all over the web.
You have to persevere and keep at it, is all.
I get about 50 per day and some days it spikes to even 120 and 150.
I'm no senior than you in HubPages and/or SEO thing. But I would like to give a random suggestion to you. You have great hubs and all are useful.
I'm sure there might be at least one visitor who might read your individual hubs. I will suggest you to title-tune your hub: hubpages.com/my/hubs/title-tuner.
This will help you to dominate the keywords. While writing a title, don't relate the letter to any symbol. Give a space.
For example.
Maybe it is a case of the fisherman's tale turning to the Hubbers Tale. Instead of landing a monster fish it is now a view count. :).
Personally I get about fifty views per day on my thirty something hubs. More when I post a hub,.
Given your hubs are excellent in my view, I can't think of anything to improve your views.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
