How much does it cost to replace a fuel pump on a 95 chevy cavalier? A mechanic is telling me $200 is that too much?

1 Depends on where its located. If its in the gas tank, that's certainly reasonable. They'd have to take the tank off, drain it, remove the pump and put a new one in without blowing themselves up from the gas fumes.(One gallon of gasoline fully vaporized has the explosive equivalent of 14 sticks of dynamite).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
