Check out CraigsList. Com for NYC apartments . .. I have always heard horror stories of people spending $2400 a month for a small efficiency in New York City, but I have never lived there.

I live outside of Nashville But I have lived near NY and in New Jersey for a while. In general, it is significantly less expensive to live in Nashville than in NY. You could find a nice, 2 bedroom, 1+ bathroom apartment in Nashville for $650-800.

You couldn't find a closet in Manhattan for that. So, it depends on where you're planning to live in either city. Both places have plenty of over-priced and high end neighborhoods.

But then, there's the cost of groceries (gallon of milk $3.50 in Nashville), going to the movies ($8 in Nashville) and other activities. In most circumstances, you really must have a car in Nashville. The public transportation is not very useful, and there aren't many walkable neighborhoods.

If you're thinking about school or early career, I would say that Nashville is more affordable, but NY is very, very exciting. Good luck! Google Map View Larger Map .

The higher ones will be closer to Central Park and may have a view.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
