LOL! TurboB, you must be directly connected to my husband...I've had to go and buy more candy once already and that batch is almost gone...he keeps trying to tell me that chocolate evaporates! .

Oops! Reese's Cups, Hershey's Bars, KitKats, Whoppers and Skittles...so far the Skittles are the last candy standing! .

He has those things hidden all over the house, including a basket that I have in the lavatory....I didn't look in the freezer.....on my way now! .

None. I buy ice cream for the Trick or Treaters. (SNORT) .

First, I have to check it out to make sure there are no harmful foreign objects in it. It melts before I can get it to a x-ray machine. GEEEE, must I do everything myself!

I'll taste test it for you.... TurboB 1 month ago .

Thanks Pal, but I would not want to endanger your life over some Dark Chocolate Raspberry Chunk ice cream. I'll be very brave...

I don't give candy out to children. Here in Florida they arrest people for that.

It is an odd custom. All year long, we teach stranger danger, then on one night we dress out kids up in silly outfits and send them into the street to beg for food from total strangers. TurboB 1 month ago .

I distributed Licorice candy to kids two years back, haven't seen them after that :( .

Meany! I actually did give out twizzlers last year, but they got a piece of chocolate candy, too. So far this year, I have snorked my way through two bags of snack sized tootsie rolls.

The starburst have made it trough unscathed. Just bought a bag of tootsies minis.... TurboB 1 month ago .

Well, I would get chocolate candy, and put a lawn chair outside on trick or treat with your outside lights on - so they can see you are harmless! And you might chase them down the street screaming "Take the candy! Take the candy!"

I buy candy every year, just in case. We get maybe two or three at the door and I give each kid a ton of candy knowing I'll never have to open the next bag. My neighborhood is chockablock with kids but we rarely see them.

They're brought to parties or it's against their religion lately. I save my receipts and bring the stuff back the next day.

You return candy. You RETURN CANDY? I marvel at your strength and willpower!

I like very good quality chocolate but I'm not big on cheap candy so it's easy to resist.

None. We have no trick or treaters where we live. I got away with buying candy "just in case" for the first twelve years we were here.

Now hubby's gotten on to me! .

Oh, hey, why not post a pic of my lil dog, all set for the big day: jpg.

LMAO great question! Okay I just finished the bag of Almond Joy, and am working on Butterfingers ;-) I ALWAYS buy way way too much, when I lived in San Jose we'd average 125 kids on Halloween, here I got 5 last year I have tootsie pops, tootsie midgees, star bursts, creepy peepers which are chocolate balls filed with misc goo and wrapped to look like eyeballs, they are really nasty tasting Almond joy, butterfingers. All 1/2 price so I stock up for the year ;-) A few years ago I gave out decks of miniature playing cards, with an alien face on it, they came in plastic cases, and mini glow in the dark rubber duckies, the kids loved them!

Well, that is really sad. I have to go to a girlfriends to pass out my candy. I never get any kids here.

I think last year I had candy for 100, and got about 50 kids. Can't let that go to waste...pass me a butterfinger! TurboB 1 month ago .

Halloween here at my condo complex sucks, we aren't allowed to put up ANY decorations outside, can't attach anything to our buildings either. All we can do is put silhouettes in our windows and a jack o lantern by the door as long as its out of the walkway. I have tons and tons and tons of Halloween decorations and it kills me that I can't use any of it.

I'm looking for a place to rent in another city, and one of the things I look for is how decoratable the place is LOL! In San Jose I had THE place to visit in our neighborhood.

I did not buy candy yet...I am waiting for it to be cheaper and my kids/I don't eat candy. I had fortune cookies from the Chinese restaurant that one year they loved to receive.

Fortune cookies! What a great idea! TurboB 1 month ago .

I stopped buying candy until the night before; and then there's not much to pick from. Everyone in the house would eat everything and then there would be nothing left. Of course I always picked the kind of candy that everyone liked.

I always bought what I wanted other to buy when I was a little girl.

Well, see that's the thing. There is no selection if you wait, and with the stores rushing the holidays (all the stores here have Christmas stuff out already) you might not even find any candy to buy to pass out! TurboB 1 month ago .

That happened to me one year when I had to rebuy candy 2 times because the family found the stash and ate it all. My husband is the worst; he night eats when every one is asleep and the candy is the first binge food he goes for. I'll have to find a better hiding place or turn the lights out and act like the aren't home when the trick or treaters come.

Better yes, I'll leave a note on the door that says, "MY HUSBAND ate all the candy, you'll have to come back next year! " that would be funny.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
