How to deal with people who hit their children as a discipline method?

First of all, I wouldn't call it "discipline" - it's TORTURE meant to PLEASE the abuser and give them whatever thrill or pleasure they get from abusing a helpless victim. Your parent tells you not to move (our dad hit us harder if we cried loudly) because that will reduce the Abuser's fun and might even cause the Abuser to realize that they are WRONG and INSANE. Same here. Our parent's brutality never taught us Right from Wrong but only how to do our thing while avoiding them and their punishments. I NEVER thought of Right and Wrong in my actions but only how to GET AWAY WITH stuff and NOT GET CAUGHT!

That fatal flaw in our parent's ignorant methods finally sent my older brother to prison for armed robbery! But the sickening practice of beating helpless victims is not going to change any time soon so long as ppl NEED to get their sadistic kicks and seek REVENGE for the brutal way they were brought up by their own Abusive parents. OH WELL...........

No it makes kids and teens lose self esteem I was beaten as a kid and I don't hit my children now.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
