How to deal with racist/narrow-minded/Conservat... parents?

I feel Jason's pretty much got it down, but I just want to say something myself. I know how you feel. My parents tend to be pretty restrictive (though not in a traditional or religious sense).

I think your parents really can't be reasoned with, so there's no point in trying to speak to them about it. As of right now, the best you can do is to just make your own life as easy as possible (try not to get on your parents' bad side) while still trying to get what you want.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
