Her insurance company will contact the DMV and have your drivers license suspended. It's pretty common and most states allow the insurance company to do so. That is not a idol threat.
Your license will remain suspended until you pay the insurance company back. Even if you move to another state, your license will be suspended. Then you have to pay the fees to get the license reinstated along with the money to the insurance company.
It can get really expensive. The good news, the insurance company will set up an interest free payment plan with you. As long as you make your payments on time, they won't take further legal action against you.
And it is 100% your fault. She had the right of way....Not you. You had the responsibility to yield to her.
She had no responsibility to yield to you.
It is your fault. The person in the lane has the right away. Sounds goofy but that is the way it is.
It sounds like a lot but nowadays, a scratched bumper is over $1000 to fix! It's crazy! But, the bottom line is that you are at fault and are responsible to repair her car and it is your neglegance that you didn't have insurance.
You will have to pay the bill, no way around it BUT, you can make payments on it. If you pay like $100/month that should keep them happy. You can choose not to pay it but someday, you are goign to want to have a license again and might as well start chipping away at the bill now...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
