Buy boric acid at store or pharmacy......mix w/honey or anything sweet...place in areas of infestation...........will kill em for sure....and its cheap to buy...........
You can mix boric acid with powdered sugar set it under your cabinets, frige etc etc etc.
Kill the roaches. There are a variety of do-it-yourself options for killing cockroaches. Some of the more well regarded of these are listed below.
Try one at a time, or try them all. Make "Roach Food":One part powdered (not granular) boric acid (sometimes sold as a roach-killing powder, but often available in pharmacies (for making anti-pinkeye eyewash)-One part white flour. One part granulated white sugar-The sugar baits it, the flour makes it stick, and the boric acid kills them.
Place in the backs of drawers and cabinets, under refrigerator, stove, etc. Expect at least 3 cycles of disappearance/reemergence of progressively smaller hordes of cockroaches, lasting about 2 weeks each. Continue using boric acid till roaches are gone.
Do not leave food out ..put everything in containers with lids..when you return from the grocery store, DO NOT store boxes, place all foods in containers, get rid of paper bags. Make sure there are no damp areas under or in cabinets..sweep all floors and throughly clean the house and ALL dishes, use a dishwasher if possible ( HOT WAYER)...THEN DO AS the people above stated with the use of the borax..also put a line of borax around thresholds and inside cabinet corners..Roaches carry diseases!
Boric acid is fine, but it does leave eye sores in places where roaches scramble and it's not completely a safe product.. I used boric acid for years along with cleaning and storing food as kj force suggested but it only kept the horde at bay (population) I could never seem to get rid of them all then I was introduced to the gecko.. Purchase a half dozen of these 'lil sports and let them loose in the house.. They will find their way around, steer clear of humans, won't spread disease or leave potential poisons around, eat the crap out of the roaches and when they alleviate those critters, will find a new home to plunder. Once free of roaches, do not draw them back with unsanitary conditions but if it happens, just buy a half dozen more and repeat the process. The only draw back is sometimes in the middle of the night you will hear them communicating but I thought their sounds were awesome, like sleeping outside on a pallet and being mulled to sleep by the sounds of nature.
Or use the laserpointer seckill them. Just a joke.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
