How to install windows 7 ultimate 64bit on a destop pc?

You can run the first few steps of the Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install disc on a 32-bit PC, but once you get to the "Expanding Windows Files" bit, it will not continue. This is because you cannot run 64-bit software on a 32-bit computer (although 32-bit software runs fine on x64) without an emulator. If your computer does happen to be x64, I'm not sure why it would do that, aside from lack of hard drive space (which it checks for before installing).

Hi aaron yes I agree it cant be the disk... however have you considered it may be your optical drive (dvdrw ) ....... it only takes a dirty lens and the pc cant read important installation files from the disk... and thats why it sticks at 0% use a cd lens cleaner which can be purchased from any high street bargain store ( poundland... supersaver ect ) and run this through your optical drive for approx 30 seconds..... then leave for 2 minutes so any excess residue can evaporate.... wipe the disk with a soft cloth( a spectacle cloth is ideal... must be very soft ) ...... then try installing windows 7 ultimate again however if this fails have you considered installing windows from a usb memory stick.... its really easy and you can create the windows 7 usb installer on another pc .... heres how you do it : 1) format a 4gb or larger memory stick 2) download the program "win to flash" from http://wintoflash.com/download/en/ .... you don't need to install this ,,, just run from file 3) insert the windows 7 ultimate disk in a working optical drive 4) run "win to flash" and follow the easy instructions ... first click advanced mode tab ..... then using the drop down menu select "transfer windows vista/2000/7 to usb disk ... 5) you will then see two boxes... one is for the destination of the windows disk and the other is for the location of your usb memory stick..... use the browse button and direct this to your optical drive with your windows 7 disk inserted.... then using the browse button on the second box locate your usb memory stick.... 6) then when this is done click run/move .... win to flash will now move the files from the windows 7 disk to your usb memory stick.... it will also include the nessecary files so the usb memory stick can boot 7) once this process is complete remove the memory stick and you have a copy of windows 7 on usb 8) on the pc in question you need to go into the bios and change the boot order so it boots from your usb memory stick.... its best to have your usb memory stick inserted so your bios can recognize it ..... then once this is done save and exit set up 9) your pc will now boot from the usb memory stick and install windows from the drive note : theres a information screen during windows usb installation screen.... for the first boot choose the "first boot" option then choose "continue installation" option second time around and after..... it sounds technical however as soon as you see it you will understand I have windows 7 on my 8gb memory stick at all times.... its more portable and in some cases will install quicker aswell..... I hope this has helped aaron... however any questions let me know good luck mate! 1).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
