Well, there is no need for a character reference letter to apply for SSI disability. It is based solely on the physical condition of the person who is applying. Their personality or character has nothing to do with it.

I understand however she is appealing her claim becuz she was denied. I cant go to court & she wants me to write a letter since we known one another for over 20 years. She needs to get a lawyer, to help her in this matter. There are lawyers that specialize in this sort of thing, and will actually work for a percentage of her first check. I realise you want to help, but, once again, unless you are a medical professional that has examined her, and diagnosed her illnesses, your letter is going to be meaningless.

A judge is not gonig to take the word of a freind over that of doctors.
