No one believes everyone should have equal wealth but the inequality should not be too great. That is an idea as old as Aristotle. It is important for democracy that every one feel they are a part of society.
If the poor work too hard to meet their basic needs, democracy suffers because they will not participate. If rich have enough wealth to make their idle and aloof from the rest of society, democracy suffers because they participate in a way to restrict the voices of others. If you want to stop the corruption of the rich and powerful, tax them.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
