How young is too young to start dating?

Anything under 16 is too young to be dating. You can have a boy that you like, but you should be hanging out in groups, not alone.

Under 15 - and at 15 they should be group, or supervised dates. At 16, depending upon the maturity level of those involved, it might be ok for single dating, but that would vary from individual to individual. Kids don't need to be dating at 12, 13 - that's stupid!

I think under 16 is too young for dating. All teenagers feel mature, like they can handle anything. But in reality, we're all still just children during those ages.It's not until you're older until you see that.

Group dates only with maybe church chaparones at their activities...just have fun....don't get too serious.

If you are just kissing, hey, good for you! I am not a doctor, but I think anything beyond that could change a young girl's hormonal makeup and stunt growth.In any case, don't let your grades suffer.. your brain will never be developing as fast as it is now.

Oh thank you,but dating is not affecting me academically. Ever since the 1st grade I have been getting straight a's in all my classes,which are all advanced classes, I do multiple extra-curricular activites,such as debate team, science olympiad,Biology club,soccer,etc. In each of those activities I excell very well, and I attend a school that is very competitive..out of a class of 400 students in my grade (that are very smart) I rank 8th.My local high school each year sends out at least 15 kids to ivy leagues and the rest go to colleges ranked from 9-at most 50. Good for you, you sound like a cute young strong-willed overachiever. It appears to me that you've made up your mind already and are simply looking for ammunition against your parents. Do check with a doctor though what I said about stunted growth, if you are going all the way or planning to.

The idea is, when you make your hormones flow, the body may think "forget about growing, it's time to get ready for childbirth now". You may end up too petite.

Also, youngsters often don't educate themselves enough on birth control. They think they know and they don't.. that's why most accidental pregnancies are teenage pregnancies.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
