Its totally depend on the person to whom you are giving gift. If they are close to me than I simply ask them what they need in gift ... so that my gift can be useful for them. Otherwise I think about the person, about his/her profession, about his/her requirements and according to that I pick the gift.

Like if someone loves computer than I will gift him/her computer accessories such as web cam, wireless keyboard and mouse and so on ...

My best gifts are getting those things my loved one enjoy that they can't just get down the street. For example, we live in Alberta and my mom loves Idaho Spud chocolate bars. You can't get them here so I order them from ebay whenever her birthday comes up.

She says it is the best gift ever. She also loves Mexican Vanilla so I buy that one as well.

Christmas is coming soon. All people are rushing to buy unique gifts for their children, friends and relatives. Presenting gift in various occasions is our tradition.

Choosing gift item depends on - to whom you are offering the gift, on which occasion you are giving and in which age group he/she belongs. Here age of the recipient is most important factor and gender is next. So we have to choose the gift item accordingly.As for example -For Babies: soft toys, musical toys, cool nursery accessories etc. For Toddlers: learning toys, electronic toys, dresses, electronic pets, chocolate boxes etc. For Teens: story books, video games, jewelry, electronic games etc.For Men: watches, electronic accessories, wrist bands, clothes etc. For Women: Jewelry, watches, kitchen gadgets, electronic accessories etc. So it is a vast topic but entertaining.It is difficult to answer in short.

Now people are looking for various ideas and sellers are eagerly waiting for rain of Dollars.

Yes, a Thank You note, a phone call or a one-on-one word is good. It would, however, make the show of appreciation more meaningful if a well thought out gift is what is offered alongside the note sent.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
