Hurricane Irene is headed straight to where I am, New York City. Anyone else in her path? It's a biggie?

I lived through a couple of doozies when I was growing up in NYC but we lived in brownstones and brick housing. The only real danger to us was the old trees that lined our street on both sides. Huge trees.

Two came down. Listen to the radio and do whatever you're directed to do. But if you have somewhere safer to go and feel the need, leave now, don't wait.

You can't evacuate NYC in the time allotted by an announced emergency - it's impossible. Max20characters 49 months ago.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
