Husband was cutting hedges and found a nest with an egg and a very small bird which has..no feather?

The survival chances are virtually nil, if the chick has no feathers, it probably has not long hatched; is the nest still in situ, if so, leave it, see if mum comes back, if not, you are probably wasting your time.

I agree with MickS. Leave the bird alone. Don't touch the nest, keep away from the hedge, and hope mama bird comes back.

My hubby moved it in more secure area and now mommy there! There were three eggs and two baby birds in it I am so happy! Thanks for such quick answers.

Put it in an incubator that keeps the nest the temperature of what the mother bird would've made it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
