1 sounds like you may be nervous about something or just anxious in general. I would try to keep gum around with me at all times in case I got a compulsion to chew. Sometimes i'd bite on pens or pencils in class , less healthy than gum, but if I could find some I use jawbreakers to relieve the nervous tick.
I bet if you googled enough about the germs in your hair it would make you stop biting it. Gl avoiding the split ends too .
2 Alot of people's hair maybe thinner on one side than the other for no reason...just genetics. Nervous habits...we all have them...If you stop one thing...you may do another thing.
Put really gross tasting hair product on so when you chew, it tastes nasty. Use something as crazy as a bit of hot sauce rubbed in. That will stop you.
Keep pinning it up. 1) talk to your mother or mother figure in your life. Explain what is going on.
Tell her how you feel embarrassed. Ask her how she can help. Explain that you need her to be patient with you and this is something you want to stop.
2) realize that there is nothing wrong with rubbing your hair on your face. I used to. A friend I had did it NON stop.
No real problem. 3) the chewing could be from boredom. Find some kind of activity to do with your hands when you are on the computer or at school.
It could be as simple as twiddling your thumbs for your new habbit. That is quiet and active. Are you allowed to chew gum at school?
Maybe your mom would get some for you at home. Maybe you wouldn't want to chew gum and hair at the same time. 4) I am a hair stylist, and, just so you know, most people have a thinner side to their hair.
It could be many things that cause that for many people. How you brush your hair both wet and dry, how you sleep on your hair at night, the type of hair you have, the way you style it, your hairline, etc. don't worry too much about one side being thicker or thinner. If it really bothers you, part it on the side so the thin side has more hair falling over it.
Side parts are almost always more flattering anyway. 5) some problems like hair chewing and pulling hair out can be the result of stress in your life. If your parents just got a divorce, you moved, you have been teased at school, whatever.
There are so many possibilities here. You can always ask your mom if it is possible to see your doctor, school counselor, or a therapist for counseling to help you figure out what caused your problem and what you can do to help it. Perhaps you can talk to your teacher or another trusted adult at school who can steer you the right direction.
And let me know how it goes!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
