I am going to visit my four young grandsons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area next week. Any good ideas for spoiling them? They range in age from seven to almost three.
I have two daughters and they each have two sons. Asked by edfoug 58 months ago Similar questions: visit young grandsons Dallas Fort Worth area week ideas spoiling Local > United States > Dallas - TX.

I strongly recommend any of the leapfrog family of products I have raised my son on them. They are a bit pricey but you did say you wished to spoil them. Any of the multitude of toys made by them are educational AND fun for the kids.
Most of them are "modular" in that you can purchase cartridges or packets as your child (or grandchild in this case) grows so they are always age appropriate. All have been huge hits!.
First of All, Ed I hope you have a wonderful vacation... The weather is nice right about now. You could take them to play miniture golf. (Every Kid Loves Putt-Putt Golf).
Then going to the movies. They would love that very much. Taking them to the local mall and letting them spend some money on whatever they want always is the best gift from Grandpa!
I still have fond memories of my Grampa taking me to the zoo. It was the best day of my life back then. He and I fed the animals and he taught me alittle story about each animal.
He was very wise old man! You could finish the trip out by taking them to get the biggest ice cream. Have a safe trip and we’ll see you when you get back!

Take 'em out to the Grapevine mall - out in Irving, by the airport There's a cowboys store there, get 'em all jerseys, you can eat at the food court ir in the rainforest Cafe, there's a huge game center there. Lot of fun. Sources: My answer .
I started to suggest a 'water park' but I don't know if it's warm enough in Dallas/Ft. Worth yet. They would be at a great age range for a trip to the zoo.
The kiddy rides at an amusement park would be fun, too. Go cart rides are something the boys might enjoy...grandpa, too. LOL Roller skating, a picnic in the park or back yard....Pitch a tent in the back yard and camp out....cooking hot dogs over an open fire, roasting marshmallows, telling stories.
A scavenger hunt hike in the woods. Playing catch, frisbee, tossing the football.. I think you and the four grandsons are going to have a ball. Enjoy them, they'll soon be grown.

A tent You should get them a tent for indoors. These are great for summer or winter. They can store toys in them and imagine they are camping.
When I was "nannying" for some kids in Olympia the seven year old simply loved being able to "hide out" when he wanted too. For the three year old I would suggest dvd's called kidsongs. All of the three year olds I am around absolutley fall into somewhat of a tv coma when they watch them.
They get the kids to get up and dance to the t.v. Which is great for all ages. (Particularly for ages 2 to 5) The aquadoodle is getting really popular among older kids. It's easy and mess free.
I like to suggest gift ideas to people that are not messy, and don't make parents have a heart-attack. Being a nanny / babysitter for over five years I get a good grasp on ideas for kids that are fun, interactive and educational at the same time. The kids don't know they are learning or growing - but they keep both parents and kids happy at the same time!
You can get tents - that are really simple. They fold up into a bag and are easy to travel with. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
