It sounds like you've done a lot of research into this, and your conclusion is very keen. For a conservative Republican who enjoys safe quiet neighborhoods, good schools, and some opportunities for performing arts nearby, the areas you're looking at are all excellent. Great work.
A few other points: - Some areas, especially Southlake, can be a bit upscale and stodgy. Getting to know your neighbors might be more difficult in those areas. - Southlake/Grapevine are indeed under an approach path for DFW, but not the main one.
(Check out the link below.) Runway 13R/31L does bring airplanes over town, but that's the only major threat to silence. Airplanes landing on 18R usually cruise over the area at a few thousand feet before U-turning over Lake Grapevine, which makes very little noise. As long as you find a home far enough away from the airport, it shouldn't be a problem.
I have friends who live just west of Southlake and I've never heard anything there, even when I'm outdoors. - Being farther south, Texas does have a slightly larger selection of poisonous creatures than Ohio. However, most of those poisonous creatures live in watery nature areas, not your backyard.
- Tornadoes are rare. Just like in Cleveland, we get severe thunderstorms many times a year, and it's no big deal. Usually, there's at least one tornado a year somewhere in the Metroplex, but because DFW is such a large metropolitan area the risks of your home getting hit are still very minimal.
Standard operating procedure is usually buy insurance and keep on living. By the way, your spelling and grammar is just fine :).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
