I am interested in a POCKET SIZE camera with a non-interchangeable lens that will go from zoom to wide angle. Obviously, I don't expect to find one, but I'm looking for one with a lens with as broad a range as possible, with an optical and LCD viewfinder. Here are a few. These would be the ones I woudl suggest. They have low digital noise so you can print larger size picts as well as using the higher ISo and still getting good images.
You can compare several model by clicking HERE Canon SD990 IS (36-133mm) Canon SD890 IS (37mm-185) Canon SD770 (35-105) SD950 IS (36mm-133) SD850 IS (My siter has this one and loves it) (35-140mm range) Canon realized that people need a viewfinder, so they started putting them on more models in the last 2 releases. This covers a wide budget range, so one shoudl work for yours. The 990 is a sweet little camera, as is the 890, so if either of them fit your budget those are the top 2 I would suggest.
I still love my G9, and it does fit in a pocket and gives a WONDERFUL picture. So if you don't need the tiny tiny ones, think about it or the g10. Hope this helps. Any of these should work well for what you are looking for. Canon is known to have some if not the lowest amounts of digital noise in the images from its sensors, so that will help you out as well.
The 890 is about the same price as the Nikon you were looking at, with a better zoom range. And on the Canon website under the Specs, it will give the 35mm equivilent for the lenses, so that should also help you out.
Look at woot.com/ today. Todays deal is a camera Don't know what you mean by pocketsize but There is a camera that looks to be fairly small on Woot. Com today. It has a 5x optical zoom.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
