Inspiration without a doubt I've been using Inspiration (inspiration.com) since version 1.0 on a Mac II in 1988. I now am a Windows user and Inspiration is up to version 8. It may have been the original mindmapping software.

I use Visio Professional too, but Inspiration is much faster and better for mindmapping. I've experimented with a few others too, but always comeback to Inspiration. It started as a business tool, but the company now focuses mainly on the education market.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
