I am making a christmas cake and was wondering if I can mix cool whip with jello to make some kinda frosting?

Yes, you can use jello instant pudding with cool whip to make a creamy frosting, however you will not be able to decorate with it, the consistency is not stiff enough to decorate with. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
