It'll work as a mixing bowl You can buy Pyrex brand measuring cups in a quart size (and larger), and they are microwave safe. There is an added bonus to using a Pyrex measuring cup as a mixing bowl (if you're thrifty with space and money like me): not only can it be used in the microwave oven (and as a liquid measure), but it is one of the best inserts to make a double boiler you'll ever have.In fact, the Pyrex company makes the measuring cups to fit into standard size pans (1qt and 4qt size). That brings me to the "cover:" you can actually use your glass pot lids as covers for the measuring cups.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
