That part number is for a Rechargeable batteries Like many, I have had no success finding a source for the Logitech battery pack L-LC3... however. Any pair of AAA 1.2Volt 1.8MAhr NIMH batteries can be made to work as well as the original battery pack. There is a small pressure switch in the middle of the battery compartment that is normally held down by the battery pack when it is correctly installed.

The switch is located just above the built up plastic spike in the battery compartment that normally fits into a matching recess in the plastic battery cradle in the center of the battery pack. I cut a small piece of wire tie and laid it across the switch, the batteries then hold down the piece of plastic which depresses the switch and voila, the battery charging cradle works just fine. Alternatively one could wrap a piece of tape around the two batteries that will hold the switch down when the batteries are installed.

Of course, you don't want to do this with a non-rechargable battery and you do want to make sure that the new batteries are the correct type and of at least the same MaHr rating. I am using a pair of Ever-ready batteries rated at 2. 2 MaHr and 1.2 Volts and they are working just fine.
