We should give thanks for what we have every day, for sure. But the celebration, Thanksgiving, can't be every day. It often involves extended family and friends coming together for something extra special.
Thanks daily, yes. Thanksgiving holiday daily, no way! :).
A grace sung before meals was once taught to me which goes: "Oh, give thanks. Oh, give thanks. Oh, gives thanks unto the Lord, for He is gracious and endureth forever."
It is a good theme for giving thanks continuously, just as we are told to pray continuously. If we were to thank God for all his blessings and mercies, we would indeed be praying continuously. In fact, a good game to play on long road trips is to take turns alternately saying something we are thankful for without any participant saying something they are thankful for which another participant has already cited.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
