They should. You ended up at Askville; while it is owned by Amazon. Com, it is not Customer Service for them, but more like Yahoo!

Answers, with some social networking thrown in. But thanks to the way Amazon chooses to plug Askville, lots of people *think* this is Amazon CS. At any rate, what I have heard is that Amazon will refund the difference if the price went down within 30 days.

If you are in the US, you can call 1-800-201-7575 to talk to an Amazon CS representative. They are open 24/7. If you are outside of the US, or just for future reference, you can click on "Help", which is usually near the top right-hand corner on each page, to get to the CS information.

You have to go through a couple of pages to get there, but then you can key in your telephone number, and they will call you, so no charges. You can also email them, but I have heard that it takes a while to get a response, so I always just call. After you get your situation with Amazon.Com straightened out, feel free to come back to Askville any time, and take a look around.

We're open 24/7 as well. :) I hope this helps! Katherine .

Contact Amazon Contact Amazon. It has a 30-day price protection on the Kindle.

I seriously doubt if Amazon will offer you a refund. Are you aware of the expression, 'caveat emptor'? It means 'let the buyer beware'.

Unless you went to a big box store and were charged a re-stocking fee to return an item, and then re-purchased it at a lower price, I don't see how you will recoup your loss. I've been following the news about digital readers for about a year and got a Kindle2 a couple of months ago. Rest assured, I enjoy it very much.

But, just as sure as you are reading this now, I can guarantee that the prices will decrease, especially as newer, different models are introduced by a variety of manufacturers. Another issue to be reckoned with are the increasing prices Amazon is charging for its books on Kindle.

1 This is not the site for that...but you may find people who can tell you how to find the help number.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
