Make sure you have the lights off. Keep your mental focus from wandering into the past or the future. Mentally focus upon your breath and watch yourself breathe in and out slowly.
Keep doing that. Another thing to think about is what physical touch you ever receive. If you could get massage on hands, feet and back/neck/head, the physical touch would help relax you and stimulate hormones conducive to sleep.
I don't know if someone in your family would do that for you or if you'd have to save up some money to get a professional massage, but I do know that massage will help you be more restful in general, and that will help you go to sleep more easily.
Eliminate electronics before bedime and while on bed trying to sleep. The room should be quiet. Try to rest in a comfortable position.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
