I'm blessed to not have this problem. Try to dissociate from the situation. It's the opposite of empathy.
Pretend you're a character in a book and completely isolated from that character, so the consequences won't affect you. In short, I'm advising you to be "out of touch" sometimes. It's the best thing for people with a proficiency in emotional communication.
I hope this helps.
Thanx for that, I manage to dissociate if an argument or debate is something to do with my work, or anything I feel strongly about, yet has nothing to do with the issues I tear up in. But your idea is great, to become someone else in the midst of the angst, is a great idea, it merely means for me to take my daydream me out, and enter the situation as the person I dream to be. Thanx for that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
