I feel like my husband has become incredibly controlling since he joined the army?

Trying to figure out right now is hard because there are so many things that can happen the first few payments. Base Pay is based on Rank E1-E4, so it can vary from $1400 and up per month. The paydays in the military are the 15th & 1st.

The 15th covers the 1st to the 15th and the 1st covers the 16th to the EOM. First pay MIGHT be Feb 1st but budget for Feb 15th. It will only be Base Pay and there will be a deduction of up to $300 for necessities he needed to get.

Then there is Federal and State Income Tax, Social Security, Medi, SGLI (up to $300K so $29 per month), FSGLI (for you), AFRH ($.50 a month), and maybe GI Bill ($100 a month for first 12 months). His second pay he will get BAH w/dependents based on his zip code when he joined. It will be backdated to the date he started.

When he goes to AIT it can change again.

Don't even try to make a budget until after he has been in the Army for 3 months. The first couple of months his pay will be in flux as the Army gets his pay caught up to the present. I will say don't plan on him being paid until Feb 15th.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
