1 Sounds like you've got a virus. Many viruses disable access to sites that might try to get rid of them. You might be able to go to the store and buy an anti-virus program on CD, then boot from that CD.
Or perhaps access the CD by booting into Windows "safe mode". There will be instructions with the anti-virus program.
2 As Pam says, this sounds like virus behavior. This website has the long story:pc1news.com/news/0201/using-the-registry... DNS is like a phone book for the internet. You can't actually go to a website directly with its name (e.g.Amazon.Com), your computer has to connect to the DNS (located at your internet provider) to look up the numeric location.
Some viruses hack your computer to tell it to look at the virus-writer's own DNS, which will have the listings for common antivirus websites removed, hence the DNS error. You might be able to manually correct the dns entry and connect to an antivirus website if you know the correct address of your internet provider's dns (if they gave you an install cd, that might do it), but a lot of viruses constantly fix themselves..
"I get a DNS error whenever I try to connect to microsoft or any antivirus supplier. "Windows xp professional, I can use messenger but Internet explorer cant connect to the internet. "My Laptop Cannot Find Server or DNS Internet Error Internet Explorer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
