If he peed on the couch, it is not because he is not neutered! He could have a urinary tract infection or other problems, so you should call your vet, or take him in to be checked. Cats do not stop using the litter box, or start going on carpets, furniture, etc, without a good reason, even if the reason is not evident to us humans.
