I have an 8 week old kitten and a 5 month old kitten and the older kitten is hurting the younger one when they play?

I have an 8 week old kitten and a 5 month old kitten and the older kitten is hurting the younger one when they play she has stopped the hissing and will even let the younger kitten eat out of her bowl at same time as her but the rest of the time she dosnt leave her alone and is biting her when they play and hurting her, its only been a week since we got the new kitten but it is proving quite difficult because we carnt leave them alone incase she hurts her,the 5 month old kitten is quite big for her age and its hard to tell if she playing or trying to hurt her. Im feeling bad because all I seem to do is shout at our older kitten but shes only a baby herself, has anyone got any advice or will this just take time? First, you need to protect the younger kitten. I suggest you separate them by using a gate, or putting them in a separate room. You don't want to keep shouting at the older kitten all the time, especially since it doesn't keep helping.
