I think you need to consider how you feel about your girlfriend versus a "crush". I think crushes by definition kind of come and go and pursuing that an hurting someone you care about might not be worth it. If your girlfriend is someone who are actively trying to break up with and you are using this crush as a reason then the relationship is probably already over.

If you are interested in this other person, then be an adult and be honest with your girlfriend.
