I have a job interview tomorrow that requested that I wear "social professional" attire, what does this mean?

This is for a an Event Coordinator position at an upscale club. Think Yacht/Country club. What do wedding planners wear?

This is first step interview so the company can see how I "stand out" when meeting clients. I'm a woman, and while I have professional attire the "social" aspect of it is throwing me for a loop! That is an odd way of putting it. Too bad your interview is with someone who cannot write clear English. Generally, you can stick with clothes that most people would consider professional.

For women that often means a suit or skirt and blouse. If you know what others wear to the place of work, that could help. That is, unless you are interviewing for a job where people can work with getting dressed up a little or one such as a construction manager working outside or something like that.

I really doubt that they expect anything else except nice business dress. Good luck! .

As a woman, you won't be able to do the standard three-piece suit, tho I think you should. Or should be able to, anyway. They expect a woman's "suit" which would be like the male 3-piece thingie but with a skirt.

Oddly, slacks or pants on a woman are considered more "casual" while a man wearing a skirt had better be Scottish. I would recommend visiting the place and noting what folks where while visiting and while working there; that'll give you the context you're working with.

1 I'd say a business suit is not what they want--they want to see how you will fit in at an actual wedding that you are planning. Dress professionally, but attractively, so you would fit in at a wedding. A dress, rather than a suit, probably.

Nice make up, heels.

3 I would wear a basic black outfit (dress or pant set) with a nice necklace or a colorful scarf. Sorry being from New York we would put black on our kids if we could. :) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
