What's proper job interview attire for a college student, for an interview on campus?

The general rule is one step up from what employees wear on a daily basis. Since it's on campus, if possible, swing by and see what people in that department are wearing. If they're in jeans and t-shirts, show up in slacks and a polo or button-down shirt.

If they're in slacks and buttoned shirts, wear a suit jacket. (If you wear a suit or suit jacket, you keep your jacket ON during the interview. If it's unbearably hot, a comment like "I hope you'll excuse me if I remove my jacket; it's quite warm for me" would be appropriate.

Even if the interviewer takes theirs off, you should try to keep yours on). Never, ever wear anything revealing, political, or too flashy. Ask yourself "would I wear to this to the club with my friends?"

If the answer is "yes" or even "maybe" it's the wrong garment! I think that you want to show that you respect the position, without showing up too overdressed. While overdressed is better than underdressed, you don't want to break the bank on some fancy outfit only to look like you have no clue what the environment of the department is like.At all interviews, jewelry (for both men and women) should be kept simple and minimal.

Make-up should also be simple and not flashy (skip the eyeliner and keep colors neutral). Purses and bags should also be something simple, and preferably not the huge, decorated, stuff-the-whole-world-in-there bag some people carry around. Most important, however, is your demeanor.

Smile at people when you come in, stand up to shake the interviewer's hand, and sit up straight during the interview. You don't need to be a wooden statue, but you don't want to look like you're chatting with your friend, and not taking the interview seriously. Have at least one or two questions prepared to ask at the end of interview (not "when will I hear back?

" though. We hate that one! Something like "how much time would I be spending directly serving clients?

" or "what personality trait do you think would make someone well suited for this position? " would be better). Try to be yourself.

Rehearsed answers always show. (I know I wrote this as if you're the college student, and maybe you're not, but you get the idea!).

Corporate attire. :) For women, try a button down shirt with 3/4th sleeved or long-sleeved plus slack pants or decent looking skirt, formal black leather shoes. Black heeled shoes looks great with slack pants.

For men, wearing a long sleeved top, slack pants and black leather shoes will be more appropriate. You can add a tie if you want to. For both men and women, you can wear formal looking coats with the same color of your pants. It's okay not to wear coats though to make the interviewer at least more presentable than you are.

You don't want to . But if the weather calls for it, then it's okay. Play with the colors too.

Corporate attire don't always have to be dull. You can wear other colors like green, purple, as long as they don't strain the eyes. For interviews, some say that the lucky color is blue.

For women, you can wear accessories such as necklace and earrings to give your clothing an outstanding look.

If the job is for something outside of the college, for an external business, I would always recommend a business suit, for both men and women. If the job is an on-campus one, I think you could go a little more informal, perhaps just a button-down and a pair of nice pants or something along those lines. Either way, I would say a definitely no to jeans, flip flops, ripped tee-shirts, URL1 matter the position, you want to show up looking professional and put together.

Th goal is to give the employer confidence in the decision to hire you instead of someone else. Bring an extra copy of your resume, make sure your hair (and make-up, as appropriate) are neat and be sure not to swear or show up hung-over. Good luck!

Black, Gray or Beige pair of dress pants or skirt just above the knee length with a white soft material dress shirt that doesn't dip down to much in the front. With a pair of black shoes with a little heel maybe 2 inches. I myself never wear a dress jacket.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
