Alimony (spousal support) is taxable. Child support is not. If you want to file, or you have enough other income to be required to file, then you must include the alimony (spousal support), and you must not include the child support.
If the $300 a month is the only income that you would have to include, then you probably don't have to file to at all.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
