If so, yes, you could pick up the red from the floor. Don't let red scare you. There are hundreds of shades of red.
Pick up a lighter version of what is in the floor. If not you could do a buttermilk color which is a creamy or yellow tinted white. That will go with all the colors and make the dark cabinets pop!
I will look at my color fans and try to find one of each.
Yes I do have one large window over my sink. Thank you so much for your help. My house is 100 years old.

Then I would definitely do a cream color. It will bring out all of the dark colors to add to the old warm ambiance. I will try to pick out a color this evening and send it to you.
Benjamin Moore has a storic color collection that I will start with.
Ok, with your colors I think a warm cream would be nice. Benjamin Moore has a nice selection especially their Pottery Barn collection. Try: Soleil AF330 or Philadelphia Cream or Windham Cream.
For the ceiling go with a lighter version of the cream. The Paint store can lighten up the cream for you. Let me know what you think of the colors.
Im going with the windham cream color. Will let you know how it works. Thanks again.
